Dr. Ron Churchill has led our church from the 1923 building, into building our current sanctuary, new educational space, a new children's building, acquiring the former Bowen building as our Singles' Ministry Building, and greatly expanding our land available for parking.

And Dr. Churchill has led us into the purchase of our fifty-four acres of Promise Land, for the hope of a new generation. With hundreds of baptisms and new members, and thousands of home and hospital visits from a pastor that loved his church, God has greatly blessed First Baptist Church during Dr. Churchill's time spent serving here.

On April 12th, Easter Sunday, Dr. Ron Churchill will preach his last sermon at First Baptist Church after over twenty years of serving our Lord as our pastor. Please make plans to attend one of the two morning services at 8:00am and 10:30am. We will also have a community-wide recognition of Dr. Churchill on April 19th at the Trinkle Center and we hope you can join us for a special time.

In addition to thanking Dr. Churchill personally, we invite you to leave a message below, letting him and our entire church know of your appreciation.

Dr. Ron and Cindy, We will always remember our first vist with Ron on June 1989 in our apartment with the Italian meal that we served Ron. We learned two things about Ron that night. One, he is a meat and potato man, and the second, Ron likes garlic bread with grape jelly. Ron on the more serious side we would like to thank you for 20 years as our pastor. You made our transition leaving our family and church family from New Jersey behind to Join our new family at First Baptist Church in Plant City, Florida. We have watched this church grow and witnessed many miracles. Thank you for being such a dedicated pastor to God and our church family. We know that God is not finished with you yet. As you start your new Journey in your retirement years, our family will keep you in our prays.

Dr. & Mrs. Churchill,
The moment I stepped through the doors I was home and I have been home every since. I am so very delighted I joined the FBCPC team. I adore both you and Cindy. I have enjoyed your sermons and Cindy's vocals. What a team you both make. Blessings to both of you and your next steps. May God bless you beyond your wildest dreams! I love you both so very much.
Blessings from Audrey and Joanna

Pastor Ron and Cindy,
What an amazing blessing you have been to our family, our church and the entire Plant City community over the course of your years here as Pastor. Your gentle and kind spirits have been and will continue to be an inspiration and encouragement. Thank you for all that you have done and all that you will continue to do in and for our church. You must know how much both of you are loved and appreciated. We will pray for God's continued blessings for you both as you begin a new chapter in your lives. These are exciting days in the life of our church, and the transition will be that much easier knowing that you are not leaving our family and that we will still see both of you at church.
We love you both and wish God's greatest blessings for you.
Dennis and Debbie Gillespie

Best Wishes to a great pastor! I cannot think of a better way to spend my birthday on April 19 than to celebrate Ron's retirement.

Dear Dr. Churchill:
Greetings from Woodstock, Ontario, Canada - We have attended FBC, Plant City for the past seven years while we have been in Florida each January and February. We have certainly appreciated your ministry even though we have not been actively involved in the life of the church life, except on Sunday morning.
We pray God's richest blessings upon you and Mrs. Churchill as you continue to serve Him in whatever way He may lead you.
Sincerely in Christ,
Jerry & Ellen Tree
